The Err1 error means the scale was able to measure your body weight but could not complete the bioimpedance analysis, which is necessary for calculating additional metrics such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, and other body composition values.
This may happen for the following reasons:
Insufficient foot contact with the electrodes
Make sure your feet are firmly and fully touching all contact points on the scale.Large foot size
Users with foot size 45 (EU) or larger may have difficulty distributing weight evenly. Try adjusting your foot placement slightly to improve electrode contact.Dry or callused skin on the feet
Very dry or thick skin may prevent the bioimpedance signal from passing through.Wearing socks
Bioimpedance measurements require direct skin contact. Always weigh yourself barefoot.Stepping off the scale too early
Remain on the scale until the full measurement is complete, including the display of all body composition data.Dirty or oily surface
Clean the surface of the scale with alcohol and ensure it is dry and free of any residue.Possible hardware issue
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the problem may be with the device itself. As a test, try placing your palms on the electrodes. If the bioimpedance analysis still does not complete and the error reappears, this may confirm a platform-related issue.
