GoBe U: How does HEALBE FLOW Technology work?

GoBe U, HEALBE FLOW, how it works, calorie tracking, automatic calorie tracking

Written by Maria

GoBe is the only wearable device that tracks calorie intake automatically, using your body’s internal signals. Thanks to HEALBE FLOW™ Technology, there’s no need to log meals manually or perform any kind of blood testing.

Instead of tracking what you eat, GoBe tracks what your body actually absorbs.

How it works

GoBe uses a built-in bioelectrical impedance sensor to monitor how fluid moves in and out of your cells. This movement is directly linked to how your body processes and absorbs glucose after meals.

Here’s how the process happens:

  • When you eat, food is digested and broken down into nutrients

  • As carbohydrates are processed, blood glucose levels rise

  • Your cells begin to absorb glucose and release water

  • GoBe measures this fluid shift continuously, 24/7

  • The FLOW™ algorithm analyzes the resulting “glucose curve” to calculate your actual calorie intake

Different types of food affect this process in different ways. For example, fats and proteins can slow down glucose absorption, while simple sugars act faster.

Why timing matters

GoBe doesn’t register calories the moment you eat. Instead, it detects nutrients entering your bloodstream, which happens in stages:

  • First signs of absorption may appear 15–30 minutes after eating

  • The main portion of calories may reach the blood 3–4 hours later

  • Complex meals may take up to 9–10 hours or more

  • Absorption from one meal can overlap with the next

What else does GoBe track?

GoBe also tracks energy absorbed from internal reserves, like fat, when you are:

  • Fasting

  • Exercising

  • Sleeping

  • Following a calorie-restricted diet

This means GoBe may still show energy intake even if you haven’t eaten recently.

Why it’s different

Food diaries and apps typically estimate calories based on averages, not your actual metabolism. GoBe shows your body’s real energy intake, giving you a personalized view of your nutrition and health.
