GoBe U: Can I calibrate my device?

GoBe U, calibration, personalization project, calorie accuracy, firmware calibration

Written by Maria

GoBe includes a self-calibration feature that helps improve the accuracy of calorie intake measurements over time. Here's how it works and how you can participate in the Personalization Project if needed.

Automatic Calibration

Your personalized firmware supports self-calibration, as long as the following conditions are met:

  • You wear the band for at least 22 hours per day with good skin contact

  • You enter your weight regularly in the HEALBE app

    • Calibration starts when you’ve entered at least 5 weight measurements over the past 14 days

    • To maintain calibration, enter at least 1 weight measurement every 2 weeks

Personalized Firmware Calibration

If, after wearing the band for at least 2 weeks, you're seeing less than 80% accuracy in calorie tracking, you're eligible for additional calibration through our Personalization Project.

GoBe is calibrated according to WHO recommendations for a healthy diet, but if your nutrition patterns differ, our engineers may need to fine-tune the firmware based on your data.

How to Qualify for Personalized Firmware

Follow these steps:

  • Wear your GoBe at least 20 hours a day for 5–7 consecutive days

  • Avoid removing the band for 3–4 hours after each meal

  • Charge GoBe before breakfast or 3–4 hours after your last meal in the evening

  • Weigh yourself regularly, preferably at the same time daily

  • Keep a detailed food log for 7 days using apps like MyFitnessPal, FatSecret, or YAZIO

    • You can submit your records as screenshots, a spreadsheet, a Google Doc, or even handwritten photos

    • We recommend using kitchen scales for food tracking

This calibration service is completely free, with no subscriptions or fees.
